We’ve all been there. The point of maximum tension, just before take-off, when the only thing standing between you and your goals is…you.

It’s a bitter pill to swallow. But there’s freedom in this truth.

“You are your own worst enemy”

Here’s how you stop sabotaging yourself, so you can finally enjoy life.

Understanding Self-Sabotage

You might view your self-sabotage as either behaving passively to undermine your own success or acting intentionally to get in your own way.

For example, putting something difficult off until your resolve is sapped by anxiety. Or when you say to yourself “I can’t do this” .

You should designate a list of your self-defeating habits, including:

  • procrastination
  • perfectionism
  • relentless self-criticism
  • negative self-image
  • negative self-label
  • self-handicapping
  • self-blame
  • self-bargaining
