We all know that feeling as students: a gathering panic, when you are trying to put together an assignment, a project, or a research paper, and much of what you need is foreseeable but a lot of it is hidden away somewhere and you need to find it.

That is why, more than a ‘how to research’ guide, this is a guide to finding those little-known, sometimes submerged pieces of information that make the difference between a blundering job, a job that works and one that gets a good grade.

Get the Information Right First and Foremost

Activism for a cause you believe in comes down to knowing and understanding all that it stands for, what the impacts will be and the consequences, good or bad. You are sure to be challenged and unless you wish to fail through shouting and screaming, you need to be prepared.

You need to not only be prepared for what you’re going to say, but be sure of your facts and be prepared for challenges. Remember the intention is always to persuade others to your cause. You won’t get to that by shouting repeated phrases. Gain some substance and know what you’re talking about.
