I feel the problem with these comments are two fold.

Firstly they failed to show any level of congruence which I would expect as a minimum from anyone claiming to have actual knowledge or experience in business.

Secondly they implied your article was false based solely on their own opinion and experience. This goes back to my first point.

Yes it's hard and yes people will fail. But failing to understand why isn't justification to blame others.

They fail to admit their own problems and face them.

It comes as no surprise that these people feel angry and have failed themselves. The irony is they could have learned a great deal from you if they simply chose to be honest.
