So much to say on this topic and I'm sure you could write several more.

When over half of graduates end up in careers that do not require a University degree it makes you wonder.

And given the student loan / debt of $100k+ , people need to question what else could be achieved career wise with that money. Especially if and when graduates fail to find careers that pay sufficiently to warrant the investment.

I went to University and the only thing of value is the friends I made. Outdated Computer Science and Business Studies that left me unprepared for reality.

It's interesting how companies who employ graduates don't expect or rely on a graduate's academic knowledge for the job. Much like they would an apprentice.
