It’s a Wonder How Most People Get Through Life
Are We Encouraged Not to Think?
You know the people I mean. Those who sit in line at McDonalds for ages to then get to the front and have no idea what they want. It’s the people who sit in a motorway failing to see the lane closure signs until they drive right up to the barrier… then signal hoping someone will let them out.
This becomes more apparent when they impact on your own life. Queues are held up by such people. Their lack of thought leaves has reduced their lmental capacity to allow room for the consideration of others.
I use to think they were doing this on purpose to wind me up, and those around me. But more recently I discovered how much they don’t even know you’re there.
It’s the people who are happy with the status-quo, not matter what it becomes. It’s those who actually prefer to be told what to do and be managed by other people.
We’re not born this way. We all begin full of life and vigour, wanting to explore and learn and do things. Much like a muscle, the brain needs exercise. And in our youth it gets plenty. So what happens and how do we even recognise this in ourselves?
