I share your view and I don't think emojis belong in articles without good reason. i.e. an article about emojis

I do wonder if they provide a better response though.

While there will be some who write like a teenager, is there something we don't know that attracts more positive readership?

A bit like scam callers. We all hate them but someone is falling for their phone calls otherwise they wouldn't exist!
