How Success Resides in Your True Self
It’s only natural to want to feel good about ourselves. We all have this little voice inside our heads cheering us on, telling us we’re capable, worthy, and important. This inner cheerleader is what some folks call the Ego, our sense of self-worth.
While it’s healthy to have a positive self-image, there’s a flip side to this coin that we often overlook. They are the dangers of protecting our Ego. Let’s take a closer look at why holding onto our pride can sometimes lead us down a risky path.
One danger of protecting our Ego is that it can make us blind to our own mistakes. Instead of facing the truth, we might choose to ignore our flaws and shortcomings. This prevents us from learning and growing because we’re not willing to see where we need improvement.

When we prioritise our Ego over everything else, it strains our relationships with friends, family, and colleagues. Always needing to be right or refusing to apologise. This creates tension and pushes people away. Healthy connections thrive on humility and understanding, not stubborn pride.
