The Quick and Effective Way to Check
We all do it. We hear something and share it with everyone else. It’s only natural. Beit something on the news or gossip from a friend. Word of mouth circulates and opinion becomes perceived as fact very fast.
The Interview
I remember an interview with Elon Musk where he was talking about interviewing candidates for a job. He was explaining how to question someone to discern if they were being truthful in what they had done.
It all came down to this… ask them how they did it and how they know.
Someone who pretends to have done something or pretends to have knowledge will avoid specifics. They will give a general non answer.
Whereas those who truly know will answer with very specific detail.
Ask these three questions :
- How/Why?
- Provide an example
- Evidence your answer / example
